Why do I need to register and pay for my e-Learning course before enrolling in Graduate Credit?
Occasionally participants will register for graduate credit and then forget to register for the course with e-Learning for educators. To avoid this problem, we ask that participants register and pay for their courses with e-Learning for Educators before enrolling in graduate credit.
Why isn't the institution in my area listed as a graduate credit option?
These institutions that have agreed to the reduced tuition fee for all e-Learning for Educators courses. Occasionally a specific course will be available through additional institutions.
How do I request a Transcript after completing my course?
When is Payment for graduate credit required?
Most e-Learning for Educators courses are only 7 week courses. As such, payment is required when you enroll with your selected instruction.
Do I need to send in a transcript before I can register for graduate credit?
No. These courses are continuing education courses and not intended for a specific degree program. The only exception is for those courses that are available for graduate credit through the University of Missouri Columbia (UMC).
Graduate Credit Options
e-Learning for Educators: Missouri provides participants with options for receiving graduate credit for participation in e-Learning MO courses. Receiving graduate credit requires that teachers meet the requirements outlined in the syllabus approved by participating institutions. Requirements include participating in a positive way in online discussion boards and completing assignments in a timely manner as specified by the syllabus.
Sign-Up for Graduate Credit
1. Before you register for graduate credit you MUST enroll in your course with e-Learning and pay your 125.00* course fee to e-Learning for Educators.
2. Complete all institution-specific registration procedures to ensure you are enrolled and will receive credit for your work.
3. Send an e-mail to your course instructor and to elearning@missouri.edu indicating the institution you have enrolled with

You must follow all guidelines and procedures specific to the institution in which you choose to enroll. Note that each institution's procedures and requirements are unique. Be sure to follow them carefully to avoid any confusion over payment, grades or credits at a later date.

Dropping a course
Please be sure you want to complete the graduate credit course, including all assignments listed on the syllabus, before sending in an enrollment form. If you find that you must drop the course, you must let the contact person at the institution in which you are enrolled know immediately. Letting your course instructor or an e-Learning MO staff member know that you wish to drop is NOT sufficient to complete the drop process.
