Just a few of the courses available for this semester are: Assessment in 21st Century Classrooms (all), Creating a Language Rich Environment (early childhood), Using Technology in the Elementary Math Classroom (elementary), Strategies and Tools for Teaching the Writing Process (middle/high) and Classroom Management (all). All courses for this semester will be offered for 2 graduate credit hours from the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) or the University of Missouri St Louis (UMSL). Registration for graduate credit will open February 1, 2012. Cost for graduate credit is $100 per credit hour.

Technology in the classroom increases with each new school year. How do you use technology in the classroom?  What was the epiphany moment that helped you decide to use technology in your classroom? Has there been a student that motivated you? As a result of your participation in the digital storytelling class you will have the opportunity to create video content that will tell this story or perhaps you will want to create video will that will connect your students to the content they are studying in your classroom.

The class is a total four days: July 25 and 26 from 9AM ­ 5PM and Aug. 1 and 2 from 9AM ­ 5PM at the Nine Network of Public Media, 3655 Olive St., St. Louis, MO 63108. 

This opportunity is open to all educators. Lunch will not be provided but the facility has a kitchen if you choose to bring our lunch and a break will be provided for those who want to visit nearby restaurants. Classes are limited; please RSVP to Dale Berenc at dberenc@ketc.org by Wednesday, July 13.
